Color plays a major role in our particular mood or state of mind. Color can impact the aura and help jump-start a tired or diseased body, mind, or spirit. Color healing, known as Chromotherapy, can be implemented in a number of ways; colored candles, stones, light bulbs, fabric swatches, paints, photographs, food, clothing, and visualization to name just a few.

If you wish to accomplish change through Color Healing first take a look at your own reactions to colors. Think of your favorite color(s) and analyze its meanings using the associations listed below. Next think of the color(s) you dislike and look at their meanings in the list below. If your favorite or least favorite color(s) are not listed below, simply consider what primary colors they are made up of (example: turquoise is a combination of blue and green) and combine the meanings of the separate colors. Preferences and aversions for colors usually change in accordance with phases in your life. A preference for certain colors can indicate things you embrace and things you need more of. An aversion for certain colors can indicate things that you are resistant to or that are lacking.

Color Divination is an excellent starting point in Color Healing. Prepare simple paper squares and write the names of the colors below on them, or color them appropriately. Turn them face down, shuffle them and pick three papers. The first one represents your path (the road your life takes now); the second one expresses your goal (what you wish to achieve); and the last one reveals the deeper reason behind your actions (what is really going on). This is a simple divination that works very well.
